No Rest For The Wicked: A Handheld Gaming Dream Come True
As a gamer on-the-go, I’m always on the lookout for games that can keep up with my active lifestyle. That’s why I’m thrilled to hear that No Rest For The Wicked, the upcoming action-RPG, will be playable on handheld PC gaming devices like the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.
Gaming on the go has never been easier
According to Moon Studios co-founder Gennadiy Korol, the team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the game runs smoothly on these devices, with a target frame rate of 30-40fps on the Steam Deck. While some cinematics may dip to 20-25fps, the gameplay remains enjoyable thanks to the game’s simulation always running at a locked 60fps.
“We never thought we’d get this done in time for launch, but so many of you have asked and we LOVE handhelds – so our hard working @moongamestudios team has moved mountains to make @wickedgame playable on Steam Deck, ROG Ally and other Handhelds Day 1!” - Gennadiy Korol
I must admit, I’m excited to get my hands on No Rest For The Wicked and experience the thrill of playing it on my handheld device. The thought of exploring the game’s vast world and taking on challenging enemies on the go is a tantalizing prospect.
The freedom to game anywhere, anytime
Of course, the game’s performance on handheld devices is still a work in progress, and the team is committed to improving image quality, performance dips, and memory usage through future patches. But for now, I’m just happy to have the option to play No Rest For The Wicked on my Steam Deck or ROG Ally.
No Rest For The Wicked will be released on PC via Steam Early Access on April 18, 2024, priced at $39.99. If you purchase it with an affiliate code, you’ll get a discounted price of $31.99.
Get ready to embark on a handheld gaming adventure
As I prepare to dive into the world of No Rest For The Wicked, I can’t help but feel grateful for the efforts of Moon Studios in making this game accessible to handheld gamers like myself. It’s a new era for gaming on the go, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
